Call for Student Artwork

The U.S. Department of Education (the Department) invites States to solicit and submit photos of student artwork to be showcased at the 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) 2024 Summer Symposium being held July 31-August 1, 2024, in San Francisco, CA. Selected artwork by your 21st CCLC grantees’ students may be featured in printed conference materials, as part of displays at on-site or off-site locations, and digitally as part of the program website.

Step 1- send information to your programs about the Call for Artwork. Included in the announcement email was a flyer with guidelines and the artwork release form to distribute. Programs should submit photos of their artwork and releases to the SEA offices by April 15, 2024.

Guidelines for programs:

  • Photos of all types and mediums of artwork can be submitted, as long as the files are high-quality JPEG or PNG images with no identifying student features visible.
  • Submissions should reflect the theme of the 2024 Summer Symposium: “The Bridge to Excellence: Together We Can, Together We Will” and/or the host city of San Francisco, CA.
  • Submissions must be from pre-K-12 students participating in a 21st CCLC funded program. The artwork can be by individual students or a group project.
  • Submissions must include program name, program contact information, artist name(s) and grade(s).

Step 2- Select up to three pieces of artwork to submit using the form on this page. Please note the required fields include the signed release form. The deadline for submitting your selected artwork(s) here is April 22, 2024.

Step 3- The Department will review submitted artwork and select one to be featured on the 2024 materials, as well as alternates for other various uses. Programs will be contacted directly by Leed Management Consulting, Inc. (LMCi) about the status of their artwork after the review period has closed.

The Department appreciates all you do on behalf of students and families, and we look forward to reviewing submissions from your state’s grantees. If you have questions or comments about this invitation, please send them to LMCi at 21stcclc@leedmci.com.

Please do not share the link to this page with your programs- the submissions must come from the state offices.
